“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.”

My Why.

I always knew that I wanted to help people and I place a high value on relationships. However, it was not until my twins were born with colic and cried for almost two years that I began to experience firsthand the challenges that many others face. This experience sparked my passion for supporting others, and I became a postpartum doula, helping new mothers navigate the complexities of motherhood.

But the challenges did not end there. Twelve years into my marriage, I discovered that my husband had a sex addiction, spending nearly $100,000 annually on it. This revelation was a shock, as he had never exhibited any of the behaviors typically associated with infidelity. In fact, one of the reasons I married him was because I fully trusted him. Upon learning of this, I felt as though time stood still, and the steps I took next became incredibly important, especially since he was an attorney. With two young children and being far away from my family, I carefully planned my next moves in secret.

This led to eight years of legal battles, all instigated by my husband, who aimed to make me homeless and take our children away from me for leaving him. The financial and emotional abuse I endured was extreme, and my attorney remarked that in her 25 years of practice, she had never seen anything like it. Through these personal experiences, I developed a deep understanding of the strength needed to navigate high-conflict, stressful situations.

These challenges gave me the confidence to become the therapist I am today. I now help clients in similar situations, offering guidance to those facing difficult transitions, whether in family matters, relationships, or personal struggles. I work with individuals ranging from college-aged adults to those deep into adulthood, helping families—whether intact, separated, or blended—find their way through tough moments. I focus on improving communication, helping clients feel heard and understood, and creating space for more compassionate and harmonious relationships.

I specialize in trauma of all kinds, and I assist people in breaking the barriers that keep them stuck in patterns of past hurt and shame. By teaching my clients how to truly hold space for one another, I foster deeper, more fulfilling, and vulnerable conversations. I work with individuals and couples of all orientations, as well as families, to create balance, harmony, and healthy communication patterns.

MY APPROACH

This is

THE PROCESS

Every client is unique with unique experiences. I start with what is the most pressing issue that brought the client  into therapy and create treatment plan with the client to help them. From there we can go into different areas but that choice will be up to the client to make. I ask my clients what they want to discuss at the beginning of each session. I am a solution focused, emotionally focused and narrative therapist.
